On June 5, during a government meeting, Bahargul Seyidova, a Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, reported on the performance of the sectors under her supervision for January–May of this year. This was reported by an online newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age». According to the report, various cultural events and celebrations were held during the period under review to mark the motto of 2026, the 35th anniversary of the Motherland’s independence, and national calendar holidays. To commemorate the Day of the Constitution and the State Flag of Turkmenistan, a festive concert featuring masters of culture and arts was organized. The final rounds of «Çalsana, bagşy!» competition took place in the cities of Arkadag and Ashgabat, as well as in Ahal and Balkan velayats, alongside cultural events celebrating Eid al-Adha (Kurban Bayram). The TURKSOY Opera Days were also successfully held at a high level. Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of proper preparation and high-level execution of the events scheduled for June of this year, as well as the systematic improvement of operations within the cultural sector. Additionally, the Vice-Premier was instructed to take the necessary measures to comprehensively study and popularize historical monuments among the youth.
