On June 8, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Robert Floyd, Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO). This was reported by an online newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age» The Head of state noted that Turkmenistan, firmly adhering to its status of permanent neutrality — recognized three times by the international community — consistently pursues a foreign policy course aimed at ensuring global and regional security and sustainable development. Turkmenistan was among the first countries to join the fundamental international instruments in the field of nuclear security, and consistently advocates for the resolution of conflicts through political and diplomatic means. It was noted that Turkmenistan, as a party to key treaties including the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, and the Treaty on a Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone in Central Asia, strictly fulfills its commitments. The constructive nature of the country's partnership with the CTBTO was also highlighted. Expressing confidence that the results of Robert Floyd's visit would make a significant contribution to strengthening effective cooperation with the CTBTO, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished his guest good health and success in his work.
