On June 8, an Honorable President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov organized a regular working meeting via digital video communication, with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tanryguly Atahallyev and the khyakims of the velayats. During the meeting, the progress of seasonal works in the country's agro-industrial complex and the implementation of regional development programs were thoroughly analyzed. This was reported by the "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" electronic newspaper.
The regional leaders and the Vice-Premier reported on the current organized conduct of the grain harvest in the country, and the uninterrupted operation of grain-harvesting combines, trucks, and reception points at full capacity. It was noted that while the grain harvest continues at a high pace in Lebap, Ahal and Mary velayats have also entered this season in an organized manner, and the final preparatory works have been completed in Balkan and Dashoguz regions. Plowing works have already begun in coordination on the fields cleared of wheat.
Along with this, it was emphasized that agrotechnical measures such as inter-row cultivation, fertilization with mineral nutrients, and vegetation irrigation in cotton fields are being carried out within the specified timeframes. Tasks for harvesting spring potatoes and vegetable crops and ensuring food abundance are also being fulfilled. Rice planting successfully continues in Dashoguz velayat, while necessary preparations for this season are underway in Lebap. Furthermore, information was provided on the construction status of cultural-social and production facilities planned to be opened in the regions this year in accordance with the National Rural Program.
Having heard the reports, Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that harvesting the grain crop grown through the hard work of farmers down to the last grain without losses, and ensuring that cotton care fully complies with agrotechnical standards, are the primary requirements. The Head of State instructed that the quality and deadlines of all ongoing works, especially new constructions, must be kept under strict control, assigning specific tasks to the meeting participants.
