Turkmenistan's Ambassador took part in events dedicated to Portugal Day

Turkmenistan's Ambassador to the French Republic and the Portuguese Republic Maksat Charyyev took part in state events dedicated to Portugal Day, Camões Day, and the Day of Portuguese Communities, held on the island of Terceira in the Azores. This was reported on the website of a Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

As part of the official program, the head of the Turkmen diplomatic mission participated in the ceremony of greeting the diplomatic corps by the President of the Portuguese Republic, a solemn military ceremony with the participation of the Portuguese Armed Forces, as well as a number of other events organized on the occasion of the country's national holiday.

During the ceremony, the Turkmen diplomat, alongside the heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Portuguese Republic, greeted President of the Portuguese Republic António José Seguro and conveyed to him congratulations on the occasion of the national holiday on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as sincere wishes of peace, well-being, and prosperity to the friendly people of Portugal.

On the sidelines of the festive events, meetings took place between Turkmenistan's Ambassador and representatives of the diplomatic corps and official figures of the Portuguese Republic. During the conversations, views were exchanged on matters of mutual interest, and prospects for the further development of bilateral cooperation were examined.

Turkmenistan's participation in these events served as a further confirmation of the friendly nature of Turkmen-Portuguese relations and the commitment to the further development of bilateral cooperation.
