A new historic decision has been made within the framework of the state policy aimed at raising the prestige of domestic science and education to the global level and cultivating a new generation of highly qualified young scientists. Based on the conclusions of the Council of Scientists and the relevant councils of the Supreme Attestation Committee of Turkmenistan, the Presidium of the Supreme Attestation Committee of Turkmenistan has awarded a President of Turkmenistan, Doctor of Political Sciences Serdar Gurbangulyyevich Berdimuhamedov, the academic title of Professor in economic and political specialties.

This prestigious title was conferred in recognition of the Head of State's significant contribution to the development of modern science, as well as his immense services in implementing innovative-industrial, socio-economic, and scientific-technical reforms that serve both national and international interests. Furthermore, the decision particularly highlighted the importance of the esteemed President's peaceful domestic and foreign policy, along with his historic achievements in expanding international cooperation.

Concurrently, in accordance with the decision of the General Meeting of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was unanimously elected as an Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan in economic and political sciences.

The basis for the election of the Leader of the country as an Academician was his policy directed at improving the socio-economic welfare of the people, and bringing the fields of science, education, and healthcare in line with world standards. In addition, the Head of State's tremendous services in introducing advanced technologies into production, strengthening the position of neutral Turkmenistan among the world's fast-growing economies, and further consolidating relations of friendship and brotherhood in the international arena were taken into account.
