Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov on June 15, 2026 held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Sasaki Hiroshi. This was reported by a press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties noted the progressive development of Turkmen-Japanese relations and discussed promising areas of cooperation of mutual interest.

It was noted that maintaining an active political dialogue at a high level and regular contacts between the relevant agencies contributes to the further strengthening of the Turkmen-Japanese partnership and the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation.
