The National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on June 19 held a sadaka in memory of the deceased at the Seýit Jemaleddin Mosque. This was reported by the online newspaper "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."
Here, Haji Arkadag held a sadaka for the sake of the successful completion of all endeavors being carried out in our country under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, as well as for the realization of the great goals aimed at ensuring the prosperous and happy life of our people, and in memory of the deceased.
Addressing those gathered, Haji Arkadag noted the inseparable connection between the indigenous Turkmen traditions and the Islamic religion.
"Today we also performed a pious deed by participating in a yovar at the 'Gurban ogly Welmyrat' cemetery in the village of Magtymguly of the Ak bugday etrap of the Ahal velayat," said Haji Arkadag, expressing his wish for the resting places to be bright and for the souls of the departed to dwell in paradise.
Noting that honoring the memory of the deceased is a righteous deed, Haji Arkadag emphasized that our people, who follow the wise proverb "Ölüsini sylan beg bolar, dirisini sylan baý," hold deep respect for the national traditions and customs inherited from their ancestors, adding that today at the Seýit Jemaleddin Mosque a sadaka is being held in memory of the deceased.
The Mufti of Turkmenistan then offered the "tebärek" prayer, following the centuries-old noble tradition.
Dishes of national cuisine were then served to the participants of the sadaka.
Upon the conclusion of the meal, the Mufti of Turkmenistan offered the commemorative prayer aýat-towir. It included wishes for the comprehensive prosperity of the Fatherland, confidently advancing toward new heights of progress, as well as supplications that the prayers offered in memory of the deceased and the sadaka held would be accepted by the Almighty. Prayers were offered for the health and longevity of Haji Arkadag and the President of Turkmenistan, who are making consistent efforts for the sake of ensuring the well-being of the country and the happy life of Turkmenistan's citizens.
Haji Arkadag sincerely thanked those gathered for their participation in today's sadaka and offered supplications that the recited verses and prayers would be accepted by the Almighty. "May peace always reign in our country, and may our people dwell in well-being! May our happy life be eternal!" — thus expressed his bright wishes Haji Arkadag.
After the sadaka, Haji Arkadag, upon seeing the young moon shining in the sky during the first days of the month of Ashyr, offered prayers for the well-being and peace of the country and the happy life of our people. This became yet another testament to the constant care shown by Haji Arkadag toward the Fatherland and our people.
Haji Arkadag then performed the evening prayer at the Seýit Jemaleddin Mosque together with the participants of the event.
