By resolution of the Directorate of the Mufti of Turkmenistan, Yalkap Hojagulyyev has been relieved of the post of Mufti of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the online newspaper "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."

Rahman Gurbanmyradov, who previously held the position of chairman of the Ahal velayat directorate and chief imam of the velayat, has been appointed the new Mufti of Turkmenistan.

In addition, the post of chairman of the Ahal velayat directorate and chief imam of the velayat has been taken by Vepamuhammet Ishangulyyev, who previously headed the Ashgabat city directorate and served as acting chief imam of the capital.

In turn, Guychgeldi Agayev, who previously held the position of chief imam of the Ashgabat mosque "Ärtogrul Gazy," has been appointed the new chairman of the Ashgabat city directorate and chief imam of the city.
