In the administrative center of the country's western region – the city of Balkanabat, in the "Türkmeniň ak öýi" building, a solemn opening of the Culture Week took place, timed to the Day of Workers of Culture and Art, as well as Poetry of Magtymguly Fragi, which is widely celebrated in our country. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

At the beginning of the celebration, a welcoming Address from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was read. As noted in the message of the head of state: "The Culture Week, the holding of which has become a tradition, is of huge importance in the development of national culture, art and literature. We are convinced that the current cultural event in the Balkan velayat will allow to fully reveal the facets of Turkmen culture."

The participants of the cultural forum familiarized themselves with a large-scale exhibition deployed in the foyer of "Türkmeniň ak öýi". Presented here were museum values, works of fine and decorative-applied art, and various book and printed products. The central place in the exposition is given to the wonderful works of Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar.

Then, a festive concert of masters of arts took place in the "Türkmeniň ak öýi" building, in which well-known theater actors, popular pop performers, and bakhshi musicians took part.

A special place in the program of the Culture Week is given to the motto of the year 2026, which is marked by the 35th anniversary of the sacred independence of the Fatherland. Each event is accompanied by colorful numbers performed by artists, musical and folklore ensembles, reflecting important events in the life of Turkmenistan.

Within the framework of the Culture Week, a meeting of experienced creative figures of the country with youth, who are just discovering the world of art for themselves, was organized. During the conversation, an interested exchange of views took place on the work of prominent representatives of Turkmen literature, contemporary writers and poets.
