The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine, together with the Magtymguly Library of the city of Kyiv, from June 11 to 20 of the current year, held "Magtymguly Poetry Days" in honor of the Day of Workers of Culture and Art of Turkmenistan, as well as the Poetry of Magtymguly Fragi. This was reported by a press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meetings, presentations were delivered about the life and work of Magtymguly Fragi, his philosophical heritage, and the significance of poetry in the spiritual culture of the Turkmen people.
Within the framework of the program, Magtymguly's poems were recited in Turkmen, Ukrainian, French, and English. Special attention was attracted by musical compositions based on the poet's poems performed by students of Kyiv music schools.
An excursion was organized for the guests to the Magtymguly room-museum at the library of the same name, where visitors familiarized themselves with the exposition dedicated to the life and work of the poet, editions of his works in various languages, samples of Turkmen decorative and applied art, and national musical instruments.
The conclusion of the "Magtymguly Poetry Days" was the reading of the poem "Songu-Dagy Mountain" at the monument to the poet in Kyiv in the Turkmen and Ukrainian languages.
