A meeting took place in Ashgabat between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany, Bernd Heins, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in the country. This was reported by the press service of a Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of cooperation and priority areas of Turkmen-German relations. Possibilities for further strengthening cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres were examined.

The significance of joint mechanisms of bilateral cooperation was emphasized, including regular consultations and the work of relevant working groups, as well as interaction within the framework of international organizations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Rashid Meredov expressed his appreciation to the German Ambassador for his personal contribution to strengthening bilateral relations and wished him continued success in his professional endeavours.

The Ambassador, in turn, thanked the Turkmen side for their support and constructive engagement during the period of his mission.
