Charitable Foundation of Turkmenistan Opens New Horizons of International Cooperation

On June 25, a meeting was held between the Vice President for Medical Activities of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Oguljahan Atabayeva and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine Rana Abu Hijleh. This was reported by the online newspaper "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."

Noting the significance of the Charity Fund's activities and the humanitarian initiatives implemented by Turkmenistan, the diplomat on behalf of her country's leadership expressed gratitude to the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the humanitarian assistance directed to the Palestinian people through the Foundation's funds.

Noting that the Charity Fund pays special attention to humanitarian activities at the international level, Atabayeva emphasized that work in this area will be continued.

On the same day, Oguljahan Atabayeva held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China Ji Shuming.

Special attention was paid to the prospects for developing cooperation in the field of children's healthcare. In this context, the Foundation's readiness to consider constructive proposals from Chinese partners was confirmed.

In addition, Oguljahan Atabayeva met with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Turkmenistan Narine Sahakyan.

The Vice President of the Charity Fund noted the successful implementation by UNDP of a number of joint projects covering priority areas of Turkmenistan's socio-economic development. This format of interaction makes a substantial contribution to the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

"For the Charity Fund, within the framework of the cooperation strategy, such areas as raising the level of societal well-being, as well as strengthening healthcare and social protection systems, are of particular significance," said Atabayeva.

The UNDP Resident Representative highly praised the Foundation's activities and the initiatives it puts forward in the interests of children's well-being. In this context, Narine Sahakyan confirmed the readiness of the United Nations Development Programme to continue constructive cooperation in this area.
