Political consultations between Turkmenistan and Ukraine were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan at the level of deputy ministers of foreign affairs. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov, and the Ukrainian delegation by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Mishchenko.
During the consultations, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the political and diplomatic, trade and economic, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Special attention was paid to the issues of strengthening the treaty and legal framework of cooperation, as well as expanding interaction between the foreign policy agencies of the two countries.
Following the meeting, mutual interest was confirmed in the further development of constructive Turkmen-Ukrainian partnership across a wide range of areas of mutual interest.
On the same day, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Mishchenko and Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for Relations with Central Asian Countries Viktor Mayko.
The parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Ukraine, noted the importance of expanding interaction in various spheres, as well as continuing cooperation within the framework of international structures.
