President of Turkmenistan holds regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers

On June 26, Honorable President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system. The online government meeting reviewed key areas of state life and issues across various sectors. This was reported by the "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" electronic newspaper.

Speaker of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova reported on the ongoing work to improve national legislation, protect citizens' rights, and support state programs. She also spoke about a recent meeting with the Ambassador of the PRC and joint training seminars held with international organizations. The Head of State emphasized the importance of continuing to modernize the legal framework.

Deputy Prime Minister Guvanch Agajanov, who reported on the fuel and energy sector, presented a proposal to establish import-substituting production lines at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries. The President approved the project and gave relevant instructions.

Deputy Prime Minister Tanryguly Atahallyev provided an update on the agricultural sector. It was noted that the grain harvest is in full swing across the country, alongside cotton care, rice and sugar beet sowing, and the harvesting of vegetable and melon crops. The Honorable President instructed to complete the grain harvest in a short time and ensure timely payments to the farmers.

Regarding the energy sector, Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov reported on strengthening the material and technical base of power plants and grids. The Head of State supported the proposal to ensure an uninterrupted supply of electricity to consumers.

Deputy Prime Minister Nokerguly Atagulyyev spoke about opening new production facilities in the textile industry. He presented a project to recycle waste at the cotton spinning factory in Dashoguz to manufacture new goods. The Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the proposal, which aims to boost export capabilities.

The Head of the Cultural Sector, Bahar Seyidova, extended holiday greetings and presented a draft Resolution to host the Culture Week in Dashoguz Velayat in 2027. The President signed the respective Resolution and congratulated the nation on the Day of Workers of Culture and Arts, as well as the Poetry of Magtymguly Pyragy.

In the scientific and educational field, S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University plans to launch a new scientific and practical electronic journal titled "Agroinnovation in Turkmenistan." After hearing the report of Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Mammedov, the Head of State approved the creation of the journal, which will support young scientists.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov reported on the preparations for the upcoming visit of the head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to the country next month. It was noted that relevant documents in the transport, environmental, and financial sectors have been prepared. The President instructed to further develop the long-standing cooperation with this bank.

In the transport sector, Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Annayev put forward proposals to modernize the material and technical base of the automotive transport sector and improve service quality. The Head of State directed to continue efforts in this area.

During the government meeting, several other important matters of state life were also reviewed, and appropriate decisions were made.
