The modern oil tanker "Dostluk," gifted to the Turkmen side by the Republic of Azerbaijan, arrived at the International Maritime Port of the city of Turkmenbashi. This was reported by the International Information Center of Turkmenistan.

The official decision to transfer the tanker was made during the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Baku as a symbol of unbreakable good-neighborly relations. A large-scale solemn welcoming ceremony was held at the berth of the port complex, attended by representatives of relevant government agencies and the public.

This gift is intended to serve as a practical instrument for integrating the maritime logistics systems of the two states, ensuring the reliability of export corridors.

During the festive event at the port of Turkmenbashi, officials emphasized that putting the tanker into operation will significantly increase the overall cargo turnover of the national maritime fleet.
