From June 26-27, 2026, a Turkmen delegation headed by Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Mergen Gurdov made a working visit to Istanbul, Republic of Türkiýe. This was reported by a press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During its stay in the Republic of Türkiýe, the Turkmen delegation held a series of meetings with the heads of leading economic and business associations of the Republic of Türkiýe.
On June 27, a meeting was held with Secretary General of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkic States Adem Kula. During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for deepening multilateral economic cooperation within the Turkic states, noting the importance of involving Turkmen business structures in joint initiatives aimed at developing trade, industrial cooperation, and forming sustainable production and logistics chains.
In addition, the Turkmen delegation held talks with First Vice President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Republic of Türkiýe (TOBB) Ali Kopuz. During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening ties between the trade and industrial structures of the two countries, expanding business contacts, and creating favorable conditions for the further growth of bilateral economic cooperation.
Following the meetings, mutual interest in the consistent development of Turkmen-Turkish economic partnership was confirmed. The parties emphasized the importance of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, increasing the volume of bilateral trade, and implementing new joint investment and production projects.
