Representatives of Turkmenistan became winners of a competition held as part of the III International Forum of Maqom Art, which took place from June 23 to 26 in the city of Namangan. The Turkmen participants were awarded an honorary statuette and monetary prize. This was reported by the online newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."

The large-scale event, organized under the auspices of UNESCO and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), brought together experts, artists, and performers from various countries.

Turkmenistan was represented in the competition by bakhshi Serdar Bayramov, teacher at the Danatar Ovezov Turkmen State Special Music School, Spartak Atakov, and teacher at the Sahy Jepbarov Special Music School of the city of Arkadag, Dovlet Danatarov.
