New water supply facilities begin operation in Ashgabat and Ahal velayat

On July 1, new modern water supply facilities were put into operation in the Geoktepe etrap of Ahal velayat and the city of Ashgabat. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."

On this day, ceremony participants gathered at the new water-lifting station built in the Geoktepe etrap of the Ahal velayat. Among them were relevant heads and specialists of the agro-industrial complex, as well as numerous residents of the etrap. During the celebration, workers who distinguished themselves in the construction of the new water-lifting station were presented with valuable gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.

Then, in front of the water-lifting station building, a symbolic ribbon was cut amid enthusiastic applause from those gathered.

The new water-lifting station is equipped with specialized equipment manufactured by a leading German company. The facility's capacity makes it possible to uninterruptedly supply water to more than 6,000 hectares of agricultural land.

During the construction of the water-lifting station, a water pipeline with a total length of 39,789 meters was laid, including new pipelines with a length of 26,929 meters and 12,860 meters of new concrete collectors.

On the occasion of the commissioning of the new facilities, new vehicles and modern equipment were presented in a solemn ceremony.

The celebrations then continued at the site of another water-lifting station recently built in the etrap. Thanks to the coordinated functioning of these two facilities, agricultural lands located on foothill elevations are uninterruptedly supplied with water.

On the same day, the ceremonial commissioning of a hydraulic engineering structure built along the bed of the Garagum River took place in Ashgabat.

During the celebration, which was accompanied by colorful musical performances, its participants became acquainted with the specifics of the water management facility, whose throughput capacity is 181 cubic meters of water per second, with all processes controlled automatically. The structure's gates open and close by electromechanical means, and monitoring of the water and the situation around the facility is carried out through a digital system. In addition, the corresponding dispatch center is equipped with a diesel generator and connected to the communications network of the "Garagumderýa" association.

At the ceremony, builders who distinguished themselves in the construction of the new facility were presented with valuable gifts on behalf of the head of state, which was received by them with sincere gratitude and great enthusiasm.
