The President of Turkmenistan held a working meeting via the digital system

On July 6th, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atahallyev and the hakims of the velayats, at which issues related to the progress of work in the agricultural complex of the country and in the regions were reviewed. This is reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The hakims reported on the pace of seasonal field campaigns in the regions.

As reported, currently in the velayats, the transportation of the harvested wheat from grain reception points to warehouses and elevators is being carried out, and also, as part of the preparation for the next year's sowing, the plowing of fields cleared of the harvest and the selection of seed grain for the upcoming season are being conducted.

On the areas sown with cotton, work continues on inter-row cultivation, fertilization with mineral fertilizers, and watering, taking into account the effective utilization of agricultural machinery.

Along with this, appropriate measures are being implemented on the agricultural lands of the velayats to harvest vegetable and melon crops and supply the population with them.

Also, the hakims reported on the progress of construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities planned for commissioning in the current year within the framework of the programs for socio-economic development of the country.

Having heard the reports, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the hakims to ensure the proper execution of measures to harvest the remaining grain crop down to the last grain, prepare for the next sowing, as well as to care for the cotton.

At the same time, the Head of State instructed to keep under strict control the work carried out in the regions within the framework of the programs for socio-economic development of the country.

Then, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atahallyev reported on the progress of seasonal work in the agricultural sector of the country.

As reported, necessary measures are being implemented to transport the harvested wheat crop from reception points to warehouses and elevators, as well as to ensure the proper storage of grain. Within the framework of the upcoming sowing for next year's harvest, plowing and land leveling are being conducted on the fields cleared of wheat. Practical steps are being taken to prepare agricultural machinery and high-quality seed material for producers for the season.

On the fields sown with cotton in the velayats, inter-row cultivation, fertilization with mineral fertilizers, and watering continue in accordance with the requirements of agrotechnics.

In addition, work is underway in the regions to harvest vegetable, melon, and other agricultural crops, to ensure the country's domestic markets are supplied with the grown products in abundance.

At the same time, on the rice fields of Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, care for the crops is being carried out, and in Mary velayat, on the areas sown with sugar beet, watering to obtain sprouts, as well as care for the fields where sprouts have already been obtained, are being carried out.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the grain harvesting campaign has entered its final stage, and in this regard, instructed the Vice-Prime Minister to keep under strict control the work to harvest the grown wheat crop without losses, lay the foundation for the upcoming sowing, and care for the cotton.

Then, the Head of State, addressing the meeting participants, once again emphasized the importance of the current seasonal agricultural measures, stressing the need for an integrated approach to the successful solution of the tasks ahead, giving a number of specific instructions.

Concluding the working meeting via the digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants sound health, family well-being, and great success in their work.
