A delegation from Turkmenistan took part in the 33rd Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA), held from July 4 to 8, 2026, in The Hague, Kingdom of the Netherlands. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
As part of the session, the delegation also participated in a side event on the theme "Parliamentary Dialogue of Central Asian Countries — a Mechanism for Strengthening Trust and Security in the OSCE Region and Beyond." During the meeting, the Turkmen side presented the country's position on this issue, noting that inter-parliamentary cooperation is an effective tool for advancing constructive international dialogue, mutual understanding, and matters of shared interest.
Also during the visit, a meeting was held with the President of the OSCE PA, Pere Joan Pons Sampietro. The parties discussed the current state and prospects of Turkmenistan's cooperation with the Assembly. It was specifically emphasized at the meeting that the international conferences regularly held in Ashgabat serve as an important platform for developing dialogue, strengthening trust, and exchanging parliamentary experience.
In addition, given the intensification of regional cooperation in Central Asia, the parties discussed a comprehensive regional approach to developing relations with the OSCE PA.
