At the expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held under the chairmanship of the Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Deputy Prime Minister Bahar Seyidova reported on the performance results in the supervised sphere for January — June 2026. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

As noted, during the reporting period, various events were organized and the results of creative contests were summarized on the occasion of the declaration of the year 2026 as the year "Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses ", the 35th anniversary of the country's Independence, the holidays of the national calendar, and the opening of cultural and social facilities. The Culture Week was held in the Balkan velayat.

Thanks to the peace-loving foreign policy of the head of state, events of international significance were organized. The International Tourism Exhibition and Conference "Turkmentravel — 2026" and the TURKSOY Opera Days were held at a high level in the capital, and the Days of Culture of Azerbaijan were held in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag. The Days of Culture of Turkmenistan were organized in Moscow, and the archaeological exhibition "Ancient Civilizations of Turkmenistan" was organized in Rome. The "Galkynysh" national equestrian games group and circus artists successfully performed in Azerbaijan and Istanbul.

With the aim of studying and popularizing historical monuments among the youth, the next stage of scientific research and restoration work was carried out during the spring season. The Deputy Prime Minister also reported on the work done by the Turkmen State Publishing Service, the "Turkmenfilm" association, and the mass media.

Issues of appointing and dismissing leaders from office were also reviewed at the meeting. For serious shortcomings permitted in work, the Esteemed President dismissed A. Shamyradov from the post of Minister of Culture, appointing G. Myradalyev to this post with a probationary period of 6 months and dismissing him from the post of Deputy Minister.

G. Myradalyev expressed sincere gratitude to the head of state for the trust placed in him, assured that he would make every effort in his new position, and wished the Esteemed President sound health, long years of life, and prosperity.

Also, for serious shortcomings permitted in work, the head of state dismissed A. Hojaberdiyev from the post of editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Nesil" and appointed H. Shanazarova to this position with a probationary period of 6 months.

The Esteemed President instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to exercise strict control over the activities of cultural institutions, to study and popularize the ancient heritage and literary values, as well as to attract tourists to the monuments. The head of state emphasized the importance of improving library and museum affairs based on international experience, filming new feature and documentary films, and effectively utilizing the potential of the State Publishing Service, and instructed to prepare for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the country's Independence at a high level.
