On July 14, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the head of the country's foreign policy agency, Rashid Meredov, and his Uzbek counterpart, Bakhtiyor Saidov, who arrived in Ashgabat on a visit. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the talks, the diplomats noted with satisfaction the high dynamics and progressive development of the bilateral dialogue. It was emphasized that regular and trust-based contacts between the leaders of the two states serve as the key factor in strengthening the strategic partnership.

The ministers paid special attention to the practical implementation of previously reached agreements. In particular, the parties analyzed in detail the progress of joint projects in such key sectors as trade, economy, energy, industry, as well as transport and logistics. Furthermore, the interlocutors called for the further expansion of traditional cultural and humanitarian ties, including holding joint events in the fields of science, education, and art.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Rashid Meredov and Bakhtiyor Saidov aligned positions on topical issues of the regional and global agenda. The foreign ministers confirmed the similarity of the two countries' stances on key aspects of ensuring security, stability, and sustainable development in Central Asia.
