On July 16, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Georgia on an official visit. The distinguished guest's first-ever visit to this country, as part of his two-day state visit, opens a new chapter in the history of bilateral relations, the "Turkmenmetbugat" reports.
An official welcoming ceremony for the distinguished Turkmen guest took place at the Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport. The state flags of the two countries were raised, and a Guard of Honor was lined up at the venue. The Head of State of Turkmenistan was warmly welcomed by Georgian officials and members of the Turkmen delegation.
This state visit is aimed at elevating political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two countries to new heights. During the visit, high-level bilateral meetings are expected to be held to discuss several issues of mutual interest.
