Meeting with the Ambassador of Palestine Held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Mahri Bashimova, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan, Rana Abu Hijleh, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. During the talks, the parties discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation and outlined pathways for further strengthening the interstate dialogue. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Special attention was paid to expanding contacts between the foreign ministries of the two countries and developing political dialogue. The Palestinian diplomat briefed on key domestic political events in her country, including the upcoming parliamentary elections in 2026 and presidential elections in 2027. The sides also exchanged views on organizing joint cultural and humanitarian events that contribute to bringing the two nations closer together.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Ambassador expressed sincere gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for their comprehensive support of the diplomatic mission of Palestine in Ashgabat. Both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in steadily expanding traditionally friendly relations and intensifying mutually beneficial partnership.
