President of Turkmenistan chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers

On July 18, a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers was held under the chairmanship of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The meeting reviewed a number of important issues related to priority areas of state life, including the improvement of legislation, the development of international relations, the modernization of economic sectors, and seasonal agricultural work, and relevant decisions were adopted. This was reported by an online newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden age".

The Chairperson of the Mejlis reported on the ongoing work to draft new bills in accordance with the Constitution of the country and state programs, as well as to modernize existing regulatory acts. It was also noted that credential letters were accepted from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to Turkmenistan, and that cooperation with international organizations and foreign parliaments is being consistently developed.

During the meeting, a draft Regulation prepared to improve the compulsory state insurance system was submitted to the Head of State for consideration. The Head of State instructed to further strengthen the regulatory and legal framework of this sector. Furthermore, a report was delivered on modernizing the material and technical infrastructure of the "Turkmengaz" State Concern and expanding relations with partners, such as leading companies from Germany. The Honorable President signed the relevant Resolution and gave instructions to increase natural gas production.

The report on the situation in the agricultural complex covered the care of cotton fields in the provinces in line with agrotechnical standards, preparations for the cotton harvest season, and the preparation of lands and seeds for next year's wheat sowing. In parallel, appropriate measures are being implemented to improve the water supply of arable lands.

Regarding the industrial and construction complex, a report was heard on increasing the production capacities of the plants under the "Turkmenhimiya" State Concern and cooperating with foreign companies. In the trade and textile sectors, a proposal was submitted to supply the enterprises of the "Turkmenhaly" State Association with dyes and chemicals, which was fully supported by the Head of State.

In the cultural and humanitarian sphere, reports were heard on measures to support publishing activities and children's creativity. Within the framework of these activities, a document was signed to strengthen the production facilities of the Turkmen State Publishing Service. Additionally, information was presented on the preparations for the final state round of the "Pearls of Independence" (Garaşsyzlygyň merjen däneleri) talented children's competition, and instructions were given to hold the event at a high level.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs cordially congratulated the Honorable President on the successful state visit to Georgia, including the bilateral business forum and the Days of Culture. The Minister also outlined several proposals to elevate the country's ecological diplomacy and international climate change cooperation to a new institutional level, including initiatives to establish an Interdepartmental Working Group, launch the "Ashgabat Climate Dialogue," and draft an Action Plan for regional centers. The Head of State approved these proposals.

To enhance the capacity of the national fleet, a proposal prepared for the construction of new dry cargo vessels at the "Balkan" Shipbuilding and Repair Yard was submitted. Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of strengthening the material and technical infrastructure of the national maritime fleet in the Caspian Sea and increasing the volume of cargo transportation, instructing to carry out the relevant work in this direction.
