On July 20th, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atahallyyev and the hakims of the velayats. At the center of attention of the meeting participants were the progress of seasonal agricultural work and the implementation of the National Rural Program. This is reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The hakims reported on the pace of seasonal field campaigns in the regions.

As reported, these days, plowing is being carried out on the fields cleared after the wheat harvest. Necessary measures are being taken to prepare agricultural machinery, implements, and seeds for the upcoming sowing season.

In the areas sown with cotton across the velayats, care work is being carried out in accordance with agrotechnical standards, in particular, inter-row cultivation, fertilization with mineral fertilizers, as well as watering.

Along with this, preparations are being made in the regions for the autumn sowing of potatoes, vegetable and melon crops, and other agricultural crops.

The hakims reported on the progress of construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities, the opening of which is planned in the velayats this year.

Having heard the report of the regional leaders and the supervising Vice-Prime Minister Tangryguly Atahallyyev, the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov once again emphasized the importance of current campaigns in agriculture and instructed to ensure strict control over the timely and high-quality execution of agricultural measures.
