A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Turkmenistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, and the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, Kaha Imnadze.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia.

The interlocutors emphasized the importance of the Regional Centre as a unique platform for advancing preventive diplomacy and strengthening regional security, trust, and mutual understanding among the countries of Central Asia. Particular attention was paid to further enhancing regional cooperation, promoting a culture of peace and dialogue, and jointly implementing initiatives aimed at ensuring peace, security, and sustainable development in the region.

The participants also exchanged views on preparations for upcoming joint events and discussed cooperation in implementing regional programmes and projects under the auspices of the United Nations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed confidence in the continued progressive development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
