Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea deepen cooperation in water management digitalization

In Seoul, a specialized interagency visit of the Turkmenistan government delegation, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment of the Republic of Korea, has concluded. The key topics of the consultations were the direct implementation of Korean digital technologies into Turkmenistan's water management sector and the preparation of content for the upcoming «Central Asia – Republic of Korea» Summit scheduled for September. This was reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen delegation included representatives of the State Committee for Water Resources, specialists from the Scientific Research Institute for Water Resources Design, and diplomats. During the trip, the experts studied the operations of the main control center of K-water, the advanced Hwaseong water treatment plant equipped with artificial intelligence, the hydrotechnical infrastructure of the Gyeonggin Ara Canal, and innovative private-sector solutions for digital canal monitoring and water loss prevention.

The visit coincided with the Multilateral Meeting on Water Industry Cooperation between Korea and Central Asian countries. The parties noted the transition of bilateral dialogue toward practical implementation, including the supply of high-tech equipment and the joint construction of major investment and environmental projects.
