On July 24, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a Cabinet of Ministers meeting via digital system, at which key issues of state life were reviewed. During the meeting, Mejlis Chairwoman Dunyagozel Gulmanova reported on the drafting of bills in the areas of citizens' rights protection, real estate registration, and the harmonization of national law with international standards. This is reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
As reported, work is underway to prepare draft Laws of Turkmenistan related to the protection of human rights, freedoms and legitimate interests, the state registration of rights to immovable property, and legal support for the country's accession to international instruments, while amendments and additions are also being introduced to a number of existing legal acts.
In addition, cooperation with international structures and foreign parliaments continues to develop steadily. In particular, a meeting was held with a delegation visiting the country, headed by the chairman of the Korea-Turkmenistan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group. The discussion focused on expanding bilateral relations.
Furthermore, representatives of the Mejlis took part in meetings and seminars organized by the United Nations Development Programme and the International Organization for Migration jointly with relevant state agencies of the country.
