Infrastructure of railway transport sector is being modernized in Turkmenistan

On July 24, Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system. During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Annayev reported on the ongoing work to improve the railway transport sector and modernize its infrastructure units. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH).

As noted in the report, as part of the efforts aimed at the social and economic development of the country, it is planned to construct new modern railway station buildings in the provinces. These measures are designed to enhance operational efficiency in the sector and create comfortable working conditions for staff. In this regard, the Vice-Prime Minister submitted relevant proposals for consideration by the Head of State.

Having heard the report, the Honorable President emphasized that effective steps are being taken in the country to modernize the railway transport system. The Head of State approved the submitted proposals for building new railway station facilities in the Ahal, Balkan, and Mary regions, instructing the Vice-Prime Minister to carry out the necessary work in this direction.
