On July 24, Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system. Important issues related to state life were reviewed, and relevant decisions were adopted. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH).
During the meeting, information was presented on ongoing efforts to modernize national legislation, protect human rights, and provide legal support for international cooperation. Meetings and training seminars held to develop relations with foreign parliaments and international organizations were also highlighted.
To attract foreign investment into the national economy, the Investment Forum of Turkmenistan is planned to be held in Ashgabat this October. The forum will focus on strategic areas such as economic development, digital and "green" transformations, energy, transport and communications, and environmental protection.
A proposal to expand cooperation with leading foreign companies for the efficient use of underground resources and exploration of rare minerals in line with international practices was approved.
In the agricultural sector, reports were delivered on agrotechnical maintenance in cotton fields, as well as preparations for the cotton harvesting season and wheat sowing. Measures are also being taken to build up fodder reserves in livestock farms.
In the electric power sector, systematic work continues to reliably supply domestic consumers with electricity, enhance production capacities, and boost export capabilities.
Ahead of the new academic year, starting August 1, extensive school supply sales and mobile retail points will be organized across the country's provinces, districts, and the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.
In accordance with the August events schedule, festive celebrations, cultural competitions, scientific-practical conferences, and the final stages of the "Ýaňlan, Diýarym!" and "Çalsana, bagşy!" contests will take place. Additionally, a joint training camp between the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club and the national cycling team of Turkmenistan is scheduled in the capital.
Turkmenistan’s priority positions for the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly were presented. These include initiatives to strengthen global peace and security, declare 2027–2037 as the "Decade of Dialogue and Preventive Diplomacy," draft an international code on the peaceful use of artificial intelligence, implement global plans for sustainable transport, establish the Ashgabat Climate Dialogue, and declare 2028 as the "Year of International Law."
To modernize the railway transport sector, proposals for constructing new, modern railway station buildings in the Ahal, Balkan, and Mary regions were approved.
