On July 25, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Ensuring the Fulfillment of Turkmenistan’s International Obligations in the Field of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law. Participants reviewed the results of the Commission's work for the first half of the current year and outlined priority tasks for the upcoming period. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the progress of the Event Plan for the Implementation of International Humanitarian Law for 2024–2026 was reviewed, with an emphasis on the importance of strengthening interdepartmental cooperation.

Special attention was given to the draft National Action Plan on Human Rights in Turkmenistan for 2026–2030, designed to further improve the national system for protecting citizens' rights and freedoms in accordance with international standards.

In his address, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov highlighted that the country's policy in this area reflects its humanistic course and commitment to the consistent fulfillment of international obligations. Following the meeting, concrete steps were outlined to enhance the efficiency of the Commission's work.
