On July 28, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Odile Renaud-Basso. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the talks, the two sides noted the positive dynamics of cooperation. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development expressed support for Turkmenistan's course toward economic diversification, the development of "green" energy, the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies, the strengthening of regional connectivity, and support for small and medium-sized businesses. Particular attention was paid to projects in the transport and logistics sector, in particular the advancement of the Trans-Caspian corridor.

Following the meeting, a signing ceremony was held for a package of documents defining the strategic priorities of cooperation for 2027–2032, partnership in the banking sector, cooperation in the field of sustainable energy, environmental protection, the modernization of transport corridors, as well as Ashgabat's participation in the EBRD's "Green Cities" program.
