On July 29, a conference dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence and the importance of the upcoming session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan was held in Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (city of Astrakhan). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event on July 29, 2026, was attended by diplomats, the head and representatives of the Astrakhan Regional Public Organization for the Preservation and Development of Turkmen Culture, as well as students from Turkmenistan studying in educational institutions of the Astrakhan region.

During the conference, the key achievements and successes accomplished by Turkmenistan over the 35 years of Independence were presented. Special attention was paid to the significance of the upcoming session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan as an important political and social event.
