Turkmenistan's legal framework strengthened with new documents

On August 1, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital system. Speaker of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova provided information summarizing the work accomplished by the parliament during the first seven months of the year, as reported by the electronic newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden Age».

During this period, 7 Laws of Turkmenistan and 12 Resolutions of the Mejlis were adopted. Among them, a jubilee medal titled "To the Participant of the Solemn Military Parade Dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan" was established. Amendments were also made to several laws concerning the protection of citizens' rights, industrial safety, highways, environmental protection, and migration.

Currently, government entities and local administrations (hyakimliks) are jointly carrying out high-level preparations for the upcoming session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.

On the international front, credentials were accepted from 7 foreign ambassadors, and 25 bilateral meetings were held. Representatives of the Mejlis participated in 82 international training seminars and completed 16 foreign visits to exchange experience.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to modernize the country's legal framework in line with contemporary demands.
