On July 31 in Astana, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov took part in the third meeting of senior officials of the "Central Asia – Republic of Korea" Cooperation Forum. Participants discussed preparations for the upcoming "Central Asia – Republic of Korea" Summit, including the draft final document. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
In his remarks, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan confirmed the country's commitment to further strengthening multilateral cooperation within the framework of the Forum, emphasizing the importance of developing a mutually beneficial partnership between the states of Central Asia and the Republic of Korea.
It was noted that holding the Summit and the "Central Asia – Republic of Korea" business summit is of great importance for further strengthening multifaceted cooperation between the states of the region and the Republic of Korea, and will help establish new direct contacts between representatives of business circles, expand opportunities for implementing joint projects, and identify promising areas of cooperation in such fields as industry, energy, transport and logistics, digital technologies, agriculture, and other areas of mutual interest.
On the same day, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Ms. Chung Eui-hae. During the conversation, it was noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the further development of Turkmen-Korean partnership, which is traditionally based on the principles of longstanding friendship, mutual trust, respect, and mutual understanding.
In this context, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of high-level visits and contacts, which have consistently occupied a priority place in the history of bilateral relations. The interlocutors also discussed current issues related to preparations for the "Central Asia – Republic of Korea" Summit.
