On August 17, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan, Ahmed Al-Hay Hamad Khamis Al-Hameli.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state of Turkmen-Emirati relations and the prospects for their further development. The sides also considered issues related to organizing joint events. Course of the talks gave special attention to the effective cooperation of the two states within international and regional organizations. Furthermore, expanding practical cooperation was discussed, with the development of trade and economic relations as well as the intensification of cultural and humanitarian ties being highlighted as priority areas of partnership. At the conclusion of the meeting, special importance was attached to further strengthening friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates and enriching bilateral cooperation with new content.
