An important diplomatic meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on August 18. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov met with the newly appointed Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mary, Seyed Mostafa Hosseinipour. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.
During the meeting, official documents were exchanged in accordance with diplomatic protocol. The newly appointed Consul General presented his consular commission, and the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan presented him with the corresponding consular exequatur.
During the conversation, the parties discussed issues of Turkmen-Iranian cooperation and prospects for the further development of friendly and good-neighborly relations between the two states.
At the conclusion of the official meeting, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran confirmed that he would make every necessary effort to strengthen bilateral cooperation and intensify interaction in the consular field.
