Head of State Reviews Progress of Construction at the "Archman" Sanatorium

On August 19, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the "Arçman" sanatorium in the Bakherden etrap of Akhal velayat, where he reviewed the progress of construction on an additional new complex of buildings for the treatment center and the modernization of a number of facilities. The work processes there are currently in their final stage.

Large-scale work is being carried out in our country to develop the sanatorium-resort system, including through the use of the richest natural resources, especially underground healing waters. The practical measures being taken in this area, as well as the enormous potential of the Fatherland as an international sanatorium center, are set out in detail in the book by Hero-Arkadag "Turkmenistan – the Land of Healing." Indeed, Turkmen land is famous for mineral springs with healing properties, and this asset is being used in the interests of the native people.

In the morning, the head of state arrived at the "Arçman" sanatorium, located in one of the country's picturesque corners.

Care for the health of citizens is one of the priorities of the socially oriented state policy pursued under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Thus, the protection and strengthening of the health of Turkmen citizens and the establishment of healthy lifestyle principles in society are defined among the pressing tasks in which sanatorium-resort infrastructure plays an important role.

Minister of Health and Medical Industry M. Gaýypow reported on the state of affairs at the new complex of buildings and at the facilities being modernized, on their arrangement and equipping, as well as on the layout of adjacent structures. These projects are being carried out in accordance with previously given instructions of the President of the country and the recommendations of the Doctor Arkadag.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was presented with the relevant designs: project plans for the new 400-bed sanatorium building and for the modernization of buildings "A" and "B"; design projects for the dining hall, phyto-bar and tea house, a 300-seat conference hall, a pump room, children's play rooms, a gym, a balneotherapy building, and a four-level parking lot.

Having examined the projects in detail, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a number of comments on them and introduced the necessary adjustments.

Among the priority tasks, the head of state identified the completion of construction and other processes overall in accordance with the established schedule and with adherence to the required quality standards. Speaking on this, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered that the progress of the work be kept under close control, ensuring its effective completion. Certain instructions concerned the proper preparation for the ceremony marking the commissioning of the complex of buildings, including detailed elaboration of organizational matters: the grand opening will take place this year, marked by the 35th anniversary of the country's sacred independence, and will be timed to coincide with the Day of Health and Medical Industry Workers.

The head of state noted the defining importance of the landscape in the design of new buildings, particularly for the healthcare system. Such an approach, established as a key requirement, will make it possible to ensure the proper landscaping of the sanatorium's territory and maintain an optimal ecological environment.

Today, the large-scale reforms initiated by Hero-Arkadag are being successfully implemented under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar — care for the health of citizens is one of the priorities of state policy. Thus, issues of modernizing the operations of sanatorium-resort infrastructure facilities, strengthening their material and technical base, and improving the quality of services provided are at the center of the state's unwavering attention.

The President of the country also instructed that effective measures be taken for the efficient use of the health-recreational potential of the "Arçman" sanatorium, for the scientific study of the reserves of water from the healing spring, and for the advanced training of senior medical personnel. At the same time, he instructed that the introduction of digital technologies into the treatment system be kept in focus.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov then examined the rooms of the new 400-bed sanatorium building, including their equipment, as well as the arrangement of the guest rooms.

The diagnostic rooms are designed according to modern standards — all conditions have been created there both for doctors and for visitors. It should be noted that the equipment in the departments — devices and apparatus from leading world manufacturers — has no equivalents in the region.

The head of state emphasized the importance of maintaining close control over the equipping of the rooms and the quality of services, since care for citizens and their health is one of the priorities of state policy. In ensuring this, a special role is assigned to the activities of sanatorium-resort infrastructure institutions in strengthening health and preventing disease.

In the construction and modernization of the sanatorium's facilities, it is necessary to ensure a combination of national architectural traditions and modern trends in architecture.

The medical equipment here must be modern, and the strengthening and protection of health must be carried out using effective diagnostic methods.

Having reviewed the equipping of the spa treatment rooms, Arkadagly Hero Serdar inspected the rooms for mineral water treatment, hydrotherapy, halotherapy, and aromatherapy. The department also has various types of baths, including a hammam.

The head of state also emphasized the need to establish corresponding services based on digital capabilities — the premises must have the appropriate conditions and modern equipment, including apparatus for the cervical and lumbar regions of the spine.

Continuing, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov inquired about the arrangement of the guest rooms. The premises must provide comfortable conditions for citizens to spend their time, so all nuances must be taken into account, from construction and equipping to the arrangement and design of the interior, the head of state noted.

The rooms here must meet modern requirements, which will allow guests to spend their time in an interesting and beneficial way, including engaging in physical exercise.

There are also gyms equipped according to international standards, which will allow visitors to strengthen their bodies. As Doctor Arkadag, an active proponent of a healthy lifestyle, notes, regular physical exercise has a positive effect on the functioning of the cardiovascular system and provides a boost of energy.

It should be noted that the building has a children's play room, the conditions and opportunities in which will allow the children of guests to spend their time in an engaging and fun way.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov then proceeded to the pump room. There, the head of state noted the need for the regular organization of consultations — doctors will be able to inform visitors about the benefits and temperature of the spring water and the rules for its consumption, which, in turn, will ensure compliance with the established norms for taking mineral water.

During the summer season, the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone and the country's sanatoriums are especially crowded — our citizens rest there with benefit to their health. The number of visitors and guests here is also growing, and therefore the high quality of sanatorium service must be maintained. Speaking on this, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed that appropriate measures be taken.

Having emphasized the need to preserve the proper ecological environment on the sanatorium's territory, the head of state ordered that close control be maintained over ensuring conditions for guests to take walks and engage in physical exercise. At the same time, special attention must be paid to parking for visitors' vehicles. In short, the necessary measures must be taken to ensure the comfortable rest of citizens.

Having wished everyone success in their work and in accomplishing the planned tasks, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov departed from the site.
