A round table dedicated to the significance of the upcoming regular session of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and the UN General Assembly resolution "Year of International Law, 2028," adopted at the initiative of Turkmenistan, was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the event, it was noted that the upcoming regular session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, scheduled to take place on September 23, 2026, is an important sociopolitical event. It was emphasized that the session will sum up the results of the work carried out and the successes achieved, as well as determine priority directions for the further socioeconomic development of the country.

Special attention during the round table was devoted to the international significance of the UN General Assembly resolution "Year of International Law, 2028," adopted on July 24, 2026, at the initiative of Turkmenistan. It was emphasized that this initiative is aimed at further strengthening the role of international law, increasing respect for the principles and norms of the Charter of the United Nations, as well as promoting the strengthening of international peace and security and the development of constructive multilateral cooperation.

In conclusion, it was noted that the holding of the upcoming session of the Halk Maslahaty and the further implementation of Turkmenistan's international initiatives will contribute to the successful fulfillment of the tasks set and to the further strengthening of Turkmenistan's authority on the international stage as a state consistently pursuing a peace-loving foreign policy based on its status of permanent neutrality.
