A conference dedicated to the significance of the upcoming Halk Maslahaty meeting of Turkmenistan and the UN General Assembly resolution "International Year of Law, 2028" adopted at Turkmenistan's initiative, was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of India. Turkmen students studying in India participated in the event.
In his address, Turkmenistan's Ambassador to India, Shalar Geldynazarov, informed the participants about high-level events being held in Turkmenistan throughout 2026 to mark the 35th anniversary of the country's independence under the motto "Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses".
Particular attention was paid to the significance of the upcoming Halk Maslahaty meeting of Turkmenistan, scheduled for September 23, 2026. In this context, the participants were briefed on the key objectives outlined by Hero Arkadag during the meeting of the Presidium of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan held on July 15, 2026.
It was emphasized that the upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan will provide an opportunity to summarize the successes and results achieved in strengthening and developing the independent state, assess the work accomplished in various areas, and identify key priorities and objectives for the future.
The participants were also familiarized with the UN General Assembly resolution "2028 – International Year of Law," adopted at the initiative of Turkmenistan. The resolution, co-sponsored by 78 countries, reflects broad international support for Turkmenistan's initiative and was noted as another important achievement of the country's constructive and peaceful foreign policy.
