New opportunities for Turkmen-Chinese cooperation discussed in Ashgabat

A delegation led by Erkin Tuniyaz, Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit. The primary objective of the visit is to discuss prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in agriculture, trade, economics, science, and education. This was reported by the "Turkmenistan" newspaper.

During the visit, the Chinese delegation toured the International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. The guests reviewed the tech park's innovative equipment and scientific research divisions, emphasizing the significance of implementing joint projects in the future. Additionally, members of the delegation met with officials from the Ashgabat City Administration to discuss ways to deepen friendly and cooperative relations.

In the afternoon, the Chinese delegation held meetings with leaders of Turkmenistan's agricultural and environmental protection sector, the "Turkmenpagta" State Concern, and the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers overseeing the agro-industrial complex. Discussions focused on key areas such as modernizing agriculture, adopting new technologies, and advancing investment, logistics, and trade partnerships.

Following the talks, both sides reaffirmed the stable and long-term nature of Turkmen-Chinese cooperation, expressing confidence in the continued strengthening of mutually beneficial relations. The delegation's visit to Turkmenistan continues.
