President of Turkmenistan Inspects the Status of the Dental Center

On August 26, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov reviewed the progress of the Dental Center, currently in its final stages of construction. Equipped with innovative technological developments, including artificial intelligence, the new medical facility will significantly strengthen the potential of domestic healthcare.

...In the morning, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived at the Dental Center.

Here, Minister of Health and Medical Industry M. Gayypov reported on the progress of construction, carried out in accordance with earlier instructions from the Head of State, recommendations of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero-Arkadag, and all relevant standards. Detailed information was presented regarding the structure of the Center, the materials used—including finishing materials—and the equipment installed.

Construction of the medical institution began with the blessing of Hero-Arkadag and has now entered its final stage.

The new facility specializes in dental services as well as maxillofacial surgery. Operations at the Center are planned to be carried out in cooperation with leading global clinics.

As noted, with the support and assistance of the Head of State, the Dental Center is equipped with modern medical technology produced in Germany, Japan, and the USA. At the same time, measures are being taken to staff the facility with qualified specialists.

The Center features an advanced material and technical base along with modern diagnostic capabilities. This will enable the identification and diagnosis of dental diseases, pathologies, and maxillofacial injuries for subsequent treatment. Its structure includes an administrative department, inpatient and outpatient clinical units, a technical-utility sector, and an automated laboratory complex. Patient data will be compiled digitally and transmitted through an electronic document management system, with monitoring conducted via specialized software programs.

Information was also presented on the Center's departments, which feature state-of-the-art equipment from leading manufacturers. The reception area includes patient wards—including emergency care facilities—an operating room, and 24-hour treatment rooms. The Center will house several specialized units: radio-diagnostics, endoscopy, clinical laboratory, functional diagnostics, an operating and sterilization suite with several operating rooms, anesthesiology and intensive care, physiotherapy, and pharmacy facilities.

It was noted that the specialized equipment suite from top manufacturers allows for secondary data processing using artificial intelligence, ensuring high reliability of results during complex surgical interventions and reconstructive maxillofacial operations.

Minister of Health and Medical Industry M. Gayypov expressed sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and doctor-scientist Hero-Arkadag for constructing the Dental Center, which is equipped with modern equipment and advanced digital capabilities.

Speaking of the upcoming Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers' Day, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed that thorough preparations be made for the Center's opening on their professional holiday, during the year marking the 35th anniversary of the Motherland's independence.

Arkadagly Hero Serdar also pointed out the need to landscape both the surrounding grounds and the interior space to maintain an appropriate ecological environment.

Furthermore, the Head of State emphasized the importance of proper operation of the installed medical equipment by doctors to ensure its long-term effective service. Specialists who will use the equipment directly in their work must fully possess the necessary professional competencies.

In this context, Arkadagly Hero Serdar noted the need to coordinate activities with the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan to provide the Center with highly qualified personnel.

Underlining that the digital capabilities of the new facility's equipment, including those based on artificial intelligence, must be used exclusively in the interest of citizens, the Head of State instructed that measures be taken to leverage the Center's hardware for rapid disease diagnosis.

The Dental Center is designed to accommodate several patients simultaneously; therefore, prompt intake must be ensured. At the same time, the Center's doctors must provide citizens with high-quality consultations, noted President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Arkadagly Hero Serdar then inspected the Center's departments. The Head of State was briefed on the capabilities and equipment of the diagnostic department, where installed devices allow for quick and accurate diagnostic examinations.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed that technical devices be used properly according to their specific requirements.

Next, the Head of State proceeded to the therapeutic department. Workflows here are managed via a computer system that allows real-time online communication with other departments during surgeries and immediate transmission of patient data.

Room temperature is automatically regulated by another device.

Additionally, the department's equipment ensures easy access to essential patient records.

Digital dental microscopes and advanced systems are widely used in treating crown and root damage, as well as in preventing complications. The use of modern specialized units will ensure high treatment efficiency.

The advanced equipment of the new medical facility—including innovative technologies in digital medicine and artificial intelligence—will enable the swift and high-quality performance of numerous procedures. These include safe localized anesthesia, tooth extraction and filling, early diagnosis and timely treatment of oral and palatal conditions, prosthetics and dental implantation, orthodontic alignment, correction of maxillofacial defects, reconstructive surgery, and the custom color-matched fabrication and fitting of prostheses.

The Head of State noted the importance of fully utilizing the AI-driven technological capabilities of the department, particularly monitors that allow data exchange with other medical institutions and facilitate communication with foreign partners.

While reviewing conditions in the inpatient wards, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of ensuring proper comfort for patients during pre- and post-operative periods. In this regard, the Head of State issued a number of relevant instructions.

Then Arkadagly Hero Serdar visited the implantology department. The advantage of modern digital technologies and 3D scanning systems with AI installed in its treatment rooms lies in their rapid analysis of large data volumes, enabling precise measurement of implant positioning, angles, and distances. Such equipment will guarantee high quality in the services provided to citizens. The 3D scanning devices are designed to capture high-precision, detailed images through a digital system.

The dental technician laboratory is designed for 45 specialists and is equipped with digital controls, modern computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software suites, and equipment for automated printing and cleaning of 3D models.

The integrated AI system makes it possible to eliminate unforeseen errors, maintain precision, and carry out automated digital design. The laboratory's equipment allows the use of modern high-quality materials and the rapid production of complex implant-supported prostheses.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed that the capabilities of the advanced equipment installed in the department be used effectively.

Following the inspection of the Dental Center, the Head of State once again emphasized the need to ensure high-level preparations for its opening ceremony, timed to coincide with Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers' Day. Commissioning this facility during the year celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Motherland's sacred independence will be a major contribution to further strengthening the potential of the national healthcare system, Arkadagly Hero Serdar said.

Highlighting the importance of a responsible and well-considered approach to ensure the timely and proper handover of the facility, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished everyone success in fulfilling their tasks and departed the scene.
