President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a Cabinet of Ministers meeting via digital video conference on September 11, where key issues concerning various areas of the country's public life were considered. During the meeting, participants discussed legislative improvements, the digitalization of the economy, the development of the oil and gas sector, agriculture, industry, education, transport, international cooperation, and priority tasks for the future. It was reported that draft laws "On the State Registration of Rights to Real Estate" and "On the State Protection of Akhal-Teke Horses in Turkmenistan" are currently being prepared, while a number of existing legislative acts are being updated in line with modern requirements. Information was also presented on preparations for the next meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and on the development of interparliamentary cooperation.

The meeting noted that Ashgabat will host the scientific and practical conference "Innovations and Digital Technologies as the Driving Force of Economic Development" later this month. The event will focus on the digital economy, artificial intelligence, e-government, financial technologies, and the training of highly qualified specialists.

Participants were also briefed on efforts to ensure the efficient development of oil and gas fields, improve drilling efficiency, conduct the wheat sowing campaign and cotton harvest in an organized manner, maintain stable cement production, and modernize textile industry enterprises.

A programme of events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence was presented. The celebrations scheduled for September will include conferences, exhibitions, creative meetings, state award ceremonies, ceremonial parades, and festive concerts.

In October, the country's higher educational institutions are expected to host international scientific and practical conferences on construction technologies, artificial intelligence, and the digital economy. Representatives of foreign universities and international organizations are expected to participate.

The meeting also reviewed preparations for the President of Turkmenistan's state visit to the Republic of Korea and the first Central Asia–Republic of Korea Summit. During the visit, new bilateral agreements are expected to be signed in the fields of the economy, investment, transport and logistics, the chemical industry, environmental protection, water management, science, and education.

In addition, information was presented on measures to develop the national civil aviation sector in line with international standards and enhance flight safety. At the conclusion of the Cabinet meeting, relevant decisions were adopted on a number of other important issues concerning the country's public life.
