On September 11, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system. During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bahar Seyidova presented a report on the programme of celebrations and events to be held on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence, the electronic newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports.

It was noted that throughout September, various events covering different areas will be held in honour of the significant anniversary of the country’s sacred Independence. These include scientific and practical conferences, exhibitions, creative meetings, awareness-raising events, musical celebrations and other cultural programmes.

The festive programme will include the musical celebration “Arkadagly Gahryman Serdarymyzyň belent maksatlarynyň aýdyň ýollary”, ceremonies honouring citizens awarded state decorations, as well as events dedicated to awarding the winners of the competition for the President of Turkmenistan’s “Türkmeniň Altyn asyry” Prize.

It is also planned to hold a flower-laying ceremony at the Independence Monument, the raising of the State Flag at the main flag squares of the regions and Arkadag City, a festive parade, concert programmes and many other events.

Having heard the report, the President of Turkmenistan highlighted the significance of the 35th anniversary of the country’s sacred Independence. The Head of State instructed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers to carry out the necessary work to ensure thorough preparation for the celebrations and their high-level organization.
