On September 21, a meeting was held in Ashgabat between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myakhri Byashimova and Ambassador of the European Union to Turkmenistan Luc Devigne. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the further development of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the European Union, as well as current issues of cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to the priority positions of Turkmenistan and the European Union within the framework of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, as well as issues on the international and regional agenda.

Organizational matters related to holding joint events and further cooperation within the framework of bilateral dialogue and international platforms were also considered separately.

The parties confirmed their interest in continuing constructive cooperation and maintaining regular contacts on issues of mutual interest.
