On October 10, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Chairman of the Institute for Global Innovation Studies of the Republic of Korea Kim Jin-pyo, who arrived in Ashgabat to take part in the celebrations on the occasion of Health and Medical Industry Workers’ Day.

The Korean guest expressed sincere gratitude to the Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero-Serdar for the invitation to take part in events timed to the landmark holiday, which is of great importance in the life of the country, and extended heartfelt congratulations in this regard. Kim Jin-pyo also stressed that it is a great honor for him to take part in the large-scale celebrations organized in Turkmenistan, which has embarked on the path of comprehensive, harmonious development.

Thanking him for the congratulations and kind words, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan stated with satisfaction that in recent years Turkmen-Korean relations have acquired a stable and long-term character, stressing the importance of the practical realization of the enormous existing potential for mutually beneficial cooperation.

The guest noted with pride that in the Republic of Korea they follow with enthusiasm the impressive successes achieved by Turkmenistan in the modern era, the transformation of the appearance of all its corners, and the nationwide celebrations in honor of the world-renowned Akhal-Teke horses, stressing that this is a vivid symbol of the country’s peaceful and sustainable development.

As the Hero-Arkadag noted, together with Korean partners many industrial and production complexes have been built in Turkmenistan, and they are also actively involved in equipping healthcare facilities. This is yet another confirmation of the constructive nature of bilateral interaction, oriented toward specific areas of cooperation.

Emphasizing the recent visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Korea, the Chairman of the Institute for Global Innovation Studies stressed that important decisions were made during it, aimed at developing mutually beneficial interstate relations and testifying to their enormous prospects.

As the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted, the proposals of Korean partners on equipping the production complexes under construction in the city of Arkadag, as well as in other parts of Turkmenistan, and on implementing joint projects will be studied. This will also open broad opportunities for the consistent expansion of fruitful cooperation.

In conclusion of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, expressing confidence that partners from the friendly country will continue active participation in the large-scale projects being implemented in Turkmenistan, wished the Chairman of the Institute for Global Innovation Studies of the Republic of Korea Kim Jin-pyo success in his activities.
