On October 11, the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan hosted an award ceremony for outstanding healthcare workers and the presentation of Volume XVIII of the book "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan" by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty, Hero-Arkadag. These events added to the series of celebrations on the occasion of the widely celebrated Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers of Turkmenistan in the year "Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Determined Winged Horses."

As noted, in our Independent State, the health of the people is considered the wealth of the Motherland. All necessary conditions are created in the country for the professional growth of medical personnel, whose productive work is aimed at strengthening public health. Thanks to the attention of the National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the healthcare sector is constantly being improved, and the grand celebration of the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers of Turkmenistan has become a noble tradition. In the year "Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Determined Winged Horses," the inaugurations of modern healthcare facilities and other events were also timed to coincide with this holiday, standing as testament to the special respect shown at the state level for the work of doctors who have dedicated their lives to a noble cause.

During the ceremony, awards were presented on behalf of Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar to distinguished workers of the healthcare and medical industry who have made significant contributions to the implementation of effective methods for health recovery, disease prevention, diagnostics, and treatment in medical practice.

The awardees expressed their sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen People and the Head of State for their constant attention to their labor. As participants noted, the scientific-encyclopedic work on medicinal plants growing on Turkmen soil—published in many languages of the world, making it accessible to millions of foreign readers—has become a valuable guide for medical specialists across various fields. Hero-Arkadag, the author of numerous fundamental scientific works in the field of medicine, stood at the origins of national healthcare development, in which the centuries-old wisdom of ancestors and the innovative trends of modern global science are inextricably intertwined. The pages of the edition describe in detail the medicinal properties of local healing herbs and plants, including endemics, as well as the possibilities of their application in scientific and traditional medicine.

In their speeches, participants of the presentation paid significant attention to the contribution of Hero-Arkadag's multi-volume work to the development of medical science and its importance as a valuable source for studying the healing properties of plants growing on Turkmen soil. The latest volume of the fundamental scientific-encyclopedic work by scientist and doctor Arkadag, "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan," representing years of research, consists of two sections, like previous volumes: "Characteristics of Medicinal Plants" and "Reference Guide." These sections provide comprehensive information on the healing properties of plants growing in the mountains and valleys of our sacred land—an invaluable treasure house. This book, which details the healing properties of dozens of species of local medicinal herbs, roots, and fruits, including endemics, enables readers to discover the centuries-old medical and wellness experience and traditions of the Turkmen people, who have made a huge contribution to the treasury of human achievements, including medical science.
