The 31st International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan — 2026” opened on October 21 at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat. Held under the slogan “Energy. Cooperation. Development”, the major international forum has become an important platform for discussing the achievements of Turkmenistan’s energy sector, new investment opportunities and prospects for cooperation in the global energy market. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
This year’s international conference and exhibition brings together more than 1,700 participants from around 75 countries. Over 130 companies operating in key areas of the energy industry have presented their exhibition stands.
During the opening ceremony of the forum, special attention was paid to the main directions of Turkmenistan’s energy strategy, ongoing efforts to modernize the sector, attract foreign investment and expand international cooperation. Participants were introduced to the potential of the country’s fuel and energy complex, including projects related to the development of the Galkynysh gas field, the use of hydrocarbon resources in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea and the expansion of export routes.
The exhibition features Turkmenistan’s state concerns “Türkmennebit” and “Türkmengaz”, the State Corporation “Türkmengeologiýa”, domestic private enterprises, as well as leading global energy, engineering and technology companies. They present modern equipment and solutions covering the exploration and development of oil and gas fields, deep drilling technologies, hydrocarbon transportation and storage systems, and oil and natural gas processing.
The exhibition area showcases innovative developments in production digitalization, artificial intelligence technologies, environmentally friendly production solutions, renewable energy sources and the development of the petrochemical industry. The presentation of an artificial intelligence-powered humanoid robot attracted particular attention from visitors, demonstrating Turkmenistan’s focus on scientific and technological advancement in the energy sector.
Within the framework of the international forum, business meetings, technology presentations and sectoral discussions are being held, focusing on investment projects, equipment supplies, technological cooperation and the implementation of joint initiatives.
The International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan — OGT 2026” serves as an important platform aimed at strengthening Turkmenistan’s position in the global energy system, developing new partnerships and promoting international initiatives in the field of energy security.
