The Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has sent a letter to the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, congratulating him on the successful holding of the international «Tatar Kyzy — 2026» contest in the hospitable city of Turkmenbashi. The head of Tatarstan thanked the Turkmen side for its assistance, warm welcome and flawless organization of the event.
According to the letter, the contest was held with the active participation and support of the Turkmen side. The attention and comprehensive assistance given to the organizers helped make the contest a vivid international event. Women representing the Tatar people from many regions of the Russian Federation and several other countries took part in the final events, and every condition was created for hosting them on Turkmen soil.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted in particular that the Turkmen people show deep respect for the culture, traditions and spiritual values of the Tatar people. In his words, holding such a project in Turkmenistan was a clear sign of the strong friendly relations and long-standing spiritual closeness of the two fraternal peoples. Positive reviews of the contest continue to arrive from many countries, which, the author of the letter said, shows its international recognition.
Amina Makhmudova, who represented the Republic of Uzbekistan, won the contest. As Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized, this once again confirmed that the project unites Tatars from different countries on the basis of shared cultural traditions and values.
The Rais of Tatarstan expressed confidence that the contest held in Turkmenistan will contribute to the further development of cultural and humanitarian dialogue and to stronger friendship and mutual understanding between the people of the two countries.
